Easy vanilla sponge cake

- all-purpose flour150 g
- baking powder1 tsp
- milk60 ml
- butter, melted40 g
- vanilla extract1 tsp
Method

Heat the oven to 175°C (347°F) and line a round tin with baking paper.

Whisk the eggs and sugar until very thick and pale, 5–6 minutes.

Sift and gently fold in the flour and baking powder.

Fold in the milk, melted butter and vanilla. Pour into the tin.
