Rich chocolate cake
A moist, deeply chocolatey cake with a smooth chocolate frosting. Watch the video above for Ann's method.

- all-purpose flour250 g
- cocoa powder75 g
- granulated sugar300 g
- baking powder2 tsp
- baking soda1 tsp
- eggs2
- milk240 ml
- neutral oil120 ml
- dark chocolate (frosting)200 g

Heat the oven to 175°C (347°F) and grease two round tins.

Whisk the flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

Add the eggs, milk and oil and whisk smooth.

Divide between the tins and bake 28–32 minutes. Cool completely.

Melt the chocolate for the frosting, spread between and over. See the video for decoration.
